Santiago Revisited

After five years I am back where we started our trip in South America – Santiago de Chile. It’s like I never left – I know exactly where to go and where everything is. I visited Santiago many times during that trip and coming back now feels very familiar.

Back when we first got here we went to the “Israeli” place in the city – it was, after all, our first day in a strange land and so we found ourselves checking into the Hostal Indiana. If you don’t remember it, here are a couple of pictures from back then:

The very “distinctive” yard:

And my personal favorite ;)

I was walking around the center of town and I decided to drop by the hostel and check what’s going on. I found out that it’s being closed down by the owner but everything else was as I remembered it – the yard, the rooms, even the owner’s little dogs:

I’ll be meeting JFK in a couple of days… feels like old times...

Hello! Hostal Indiana is open again, so if you are ever in santaigo you can drop by. It is now a mixed hostel and a cultural house with concerts, photo-exibitions etc. The webpage is www.lacasaindiana.com. Take care
